Marma Treatment

In marma treatment, very good results are achieved in sleep disorders, fatigue, concentration disorders, nervous heart problems, migraine, carpal tunnel syndrome, restless leg syndrome, stress-induced or nervous gastrointestinal complaints, nasal sinus cramps

For millennia, Ayurveda has used the stimulation of the body's energy points (marma) as an important treatment to cure health problems. Marmas are points that relate to organic functions and metabolism, but also to our emotional states.

A marma point is defined as an anatomical site where muscles, veins, ligaments, bones and joints are found (mamsa, sira, snayu, asthi and sandhi). This does not mean that all structures must be present at the same time in a marma. According to the Ashtanga Hridaya, these are points where important nerves called dhamani coincide along with other structures like muscles, tendons, etc.

Composition of Marma Points

Mamsa: Several structures such as facies, serous membranes and muscles can be compared to mamsa.

Sira: They are like channels that provide water or energy to the body.

Snayu: These are sub-tissues that link bones and muscles. There are four types: ligaments, tendons, sphincter muscles and aponeurosis.

Asthi:  They can be classified into bones, cartilage, teeth and nails.

Sandhi: The bony joints are classified into mobile, partially mobile and immobile.

Marma points are the seats of life. The marmas are also places where not only the tridosha (Vata, pitta and kapha) is present, but also their subtle forms prana, ojas and tiles (agni) are present with satwa, rajas and tamas. Therefore, it is a specific area of ??the body, which is related through the pranic channels with several internal organs. According to another definition, they are vital areas that if they are damaged they can cause death. At other times, without causing death, they cause diseases that have a difficult cure.

Often, acute complaints can be successfully treated by the physician or medical practitioner in just a few minutes. Typical examples of this are neck or back pain in the case of vertebral blockages, tension headaches, umbilical colic of the children, gastrointestinal cramps, abdominal cramps before or during menstruation. In the case of HWS syndrome, the short, dry (without the use of oil) pressure is often enough, as well as attentive stroking or flicking of a few key arms and nadis, in order to loosen or loosen the blockage in a strikingly fast way.

Chronic complaints and diseases naturally require repeated applications and other accompanying, as natural as possible treatment measures.

Even the treatment of simple everyday problems can be very effective. For example, very good results are achieved in sleep disorders, fatigue, concentration disorders, nervous heart problems, migraine, carpal tunnel syndrome, restless leg syndrome, stress-induced or nervous gastrointestinal complaints, nasal sinus cramps and generally in psychosomatic diseases. Immediate relief is a Marma self-treatment in acute colds with runny nose, nasal constriction, cough and bronchitis).
