• Try to have food in small quantities at regular intervals
  • Have meal at least 2-3 hours before bed-time
  • Eat slowly and properly
  • Take fresh fruits, green vegetables and salad in adequate quantities


  • Avoid spicy and sour food items
  • Cut down the intake of coffee, tea and other caffeine related beverages
  • Quit smoking
  • Refrain yourself from alcohol consumption
  • Avoid fried and oily food
  • Do not self –medicate
