Chronic Constipation is quite a common condition with more than 5.2 million patients in India only. Chronic constipation means inability to pass regular bowels and for others it means hard stool associated with lots of straining.
Medically, constipation means movement of stools less than three times per week. When this continues for several months then, it is called as Chronic Constipation. In Chronic Constipation stools may be hard or soft, small or large, or a combination of infrequent hard, formed or small lumpy stools.
