Bronchitis is a respiratory disorder which is often characterized by inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes, which carry air to the lungs. Patients with bronchitis hooks with discoloured and thick mucus filled coughs.
Bronchitis can be either acute or chronic. Chronic bronchitis is more severe form and the individual undergoes a constant irritation along the lining of the bronchial tubes, which often occurs due to smoking. Acute bronchitis occurs because of sudden cold or respiratory infection and it lasts for few days to a maximum of three weeks
