About Peripheral Neuropathy
Peripheral neuropathy is a condition in which nerves that carry information to and from the brain and spinal cord become damaged. This disrupts the nerves’ normal functioning. They might send signals of pain when there’s nothing causing pain, or they might not send a pain signal even if something is harming you. Symptoms of neuropathy typically include numbness, pain and tingling in the hands and feet. The causes of neuropathy are diabetes, injury, systemic illness, infection, inherited disorder etc. Ayurveda, the traditional medicine, offers potential relief for symptoms of this condition with herbal medicated oils and panchakarma therapies.
